My First Car Was .....

Well I bought my first car in 1973 it was a 1962 Chevy II. A white 2 door coupe, with a roaring in-line 6 and a 2 speed "slushamatic" tranny. Man I had plans for that car - it had a pretty sporty look to it and in my minds' eye it didn't take long to design a paint job. Does the "Starsky & Hutch" car trip anyones' memory? Well that was my general theme. I was goiing to pull that 6 banger outta there and throw in a 283ci and a 4 speed tranny with a shifter mounted on the floor. The closest I got to that was the 8-track sittin' on the front seat. The car died an ignomious death in stages when I lived in Banff and Lake Louise. More on that in future installments.
